  • How does it work?

    Once the MOT is complete and recorded online, open the app and you can retrieve the MOT report using the vehicle registration. Photos can be added direct from the camera or gallery on your device. Comments can also be added. Then simply hit send and the report will be sent direct to your customer.

  • How does the report get to the customer?

    For flexibility the app allows users to choose between sending the report via SMS text message or Email.

  • Does the customer need the app?

    No, the person receiving the report doesn't need to download anything. The report is simply delivered by either SMS text message or email. In future we may implement additional features for customers, but for now Visual MOT is intended for MOT testers to use.

  • What does it cost?

    The app is free to download and users can send one report for free with every installation. Once they've tried it out the app charges just 49p per report sent from iOS devices and 50p from Android devices.

  • Why is there a charge?

    Right now at Visual MOT we're just getting started. The cost of developing and publishing an app can be high. But we've underwritten that cost because we believe we saw an opportunity to help garages: provide a better service to customers, cut down on their own admin, and keep visual evidence on file in the unfortunate event of a dispute.

    However, hosting of the email, files and the services required to send SMS all carry a charge. We also want to give ourselves a fighting chance of supporting the app in future.

    As a result we came up with simple pay as you go pricing model.

  • Can I get a discount the more I use Visual MOT?

    As we grow we want to pass on any savings we can to loyal users. In future we aim implement bulk report pricing offering significant discounts. For now if you find yourself using Visual MOT a lot, please get in touch and we may be able to help.

  • Can you provide training on how to use the app?

    We like to think the app is intuitive enough many users will find it easy to navigate. However we understand some garage owners may want to give their staff some help as they implement Visual MOT into their business. If you have a requirement for training please email to discuss training delivered either remotely via video calls or in person.

  • What are the terms of use?

    All users must read and agree to the Privacy Policy which also contains all terms by which a user must abide.
